The Reporting Specialist (RS) is responsible for helping to develop key program communications efforts to ensure the adequate awareness and reporting of program progress and accomplishments. The RS will be responsible for researching, writing and editing reports in English and carrying out translations from Spanish to English. The RS will contribute to all aspects of the production process of internal and external programmatic reporting, including biweekly, quarterly, annual, final, and ad hoc reports as well as memos, presentations, and other informational documents. The RS will be adept at responding to urgent requests for information and translations, managing deadlines, delivering reports and translations in a timely manner, assuring accuracy and house style of content, and knowing how to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks.
Requirements: Degree in social sciences, journalism, or communications; minimum five years of professional experience, preferably in the field of journalism, report-writing or translation; native-level English speaker; Spanish language fluency. Excellent communication and reporting skills in English, with the ability to communicate clearly in Spanish. Demonstrated experience in developing targeted reporting/communications tools and documenting program results for diverse cultural and social audiences, including donors, government officials, and other key stakeholders. Ability to work independently, under tight deadlines and on high-profile, complex projects. Experience working in developing countries, with experience in Colombia preferred.
